Baby Shower Registry Tips to Make Shopping Easy for Friends & Family

  • Register for items you can afford. Choosing items in the low or middle income bracket. However add a few big ticket items for those who can afford it or where guests can pool together and get.
  • Register at a store that is convenient for guests. Guests would not like the inconvenience of traveling way out of theirway to buy a gift that may just as well be at another store close by. If guests are out of town choose 1 or 2 registries thatare well known and likely in their area.
  • If you use more than one registry make sure to register for items you do not want duplicated.
  • Mom-to-be can do her gift registry online if she prefers staying in the comfort of her home. Another advantage to online registries is that out of town friends and family who cannot make it to the shower can purchase a gift online and have it delivered on time for the shower.
  • Give guests baby registry information. In the past it was bad taste to include the registry information on the invitation. These days some hostesses will write the registry information at the bottom or back of the invitation.
You can also include a card with the invitation telling guests about the registry. These days some registry stores give a card when you registry to include with the invitation. If you do not care to include the information this way then tell guests where mom-to-be is registered when guests call or email to RSVP.
  • Not all gifts will be from the registry some guests will make their own gifts or purchase something they happen to see orhear about that they think will be perfect or beneficial to the mom-to-be.
